JAP-F believes that good health is the bedrock of any meaningful development in every community of the world. It is the cornerstone of a fulfilling and thriving life, serving as the solid foundation upon which we build our dreams and aspirations.
Measles and meningitis immunization exercise was flagged-off on 15th to 19th November, 2019, by the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency. To compliment the effort of Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency, JAP-F embarked on sensitization tour across the 16 villages of Paki District to achieve the following:
To engage the village heads, Ward Heads, Religious Leaders, and Community Development Associations for the success of the immunization exercise.
To ensure that compliance and massive turn out of eligible children are achieved
To address challenges that may hinder the progress of the exercise.
Day 1 Observation:
Saulawa area recorded substantial number of children vaccinated for Meningitis and Measles.
Six (6) vaccination teams were deployed to various areas in Paki District and most of the teams achieved the maximum target number of children for the day.
However, figures shows a low turnout at Health Clinic Gangarida at the time of the visit.
Day 2 Observation:
At the time of the visit of Health Clinic Kaza and Primary Health Centre Kuya, people were waiting for immunization
Focal person of the area explained that the vaccination teams were moving from one location to another, to ensure coverage of eligible children.
Substantial number was recorded at Unguwan Sarki, Kuya
Day 3: Meeting with Community Leaders:
On 18th November, 2019 JAP-F held a meeting with Community Leaders on Immunization of Measles and Meningitis, to map out strategy for holistic approach to address the issues 0f non-compliance and enhance success of the exercise.
Day 4 Observation:
Positive improvement of compliance as most of the teams recorded progress towards achieving target
number of the day.
On 16th December, 2019, JAP-F and the Saminaka Zonal Area Command of National Drugs and Law Enforcement Agency, organized a Sensitization Program on Drug Abuse Awareness in Paki, with the view to mitigating the menace of addiction and selling of drugs by youths in various communities of Paki District.

On the 24th December 2021, JAP Foundation had organized a sensitization Program on COVID-19 Prevention Protocols.
Objective:
To invite the officials of Primary Health Care Department of Ikara Local Government to
sensitize stakeholders and community leaders on COVID-19 and other relevant health
matters.
Impact:
Effective health information campaigns play an important role in raising public awareness and encouraging preventive and health-promoting behavior. JAP-F created awareness campaigns promoting simple COVID-19 precautionary measures foster health-preserving behavior among people in Ikara Local Government of Kaduna State.
Distribution of COVID-19 Palliatives
Consequence of the negative impact of COVID-19 lockdown in Paki, on 1st May, 2021. JAP Foundation procured and distributed assorted food packages to 290 beneficiaries, costing N9,550 each. The distribution flag-off was declared open by the Special Guest, the Director of Agriculture and Forestry Department, Ikara Local Government, Alh. Ibrahim Tijjani.
On 5th April, 2020. The Chairman of JAP–F through the oxygen Manufacturing Company Limited, donated 200 Cylinders of Medical Grade Oxygen (gasonly) to the Kaduna State Government to respond to the COVID-19 emergencies.
JAP-F execute a sensitization campaign on maternal and child care was conducted with a targeted effort aimed to improve maternal and child healthcare in four (4) communities of Ikara LG of Kaduna state by raising awareness and educating communities about the importance of maternal and child health. This initiative focuses on imparting knowledge about prenatal and postnatal care, promoting safe childbirth practices, and immunization. The campaign emphasizes the significance of regular health check-ups during pregnancy, vaccination schedules for infants, and the adoption of hygienic practices to prevent maternal and child illnesses. By fostering understanding and active participation within communities, the sensitization campaign strives to reduce maternal and child mortality rates, enhance overall well-being, and contribute to the development of healthier societies.
Goals of the Project:
Increase awareness about the importance of maternal and child health.
Educate participants on essential practices for maternal and child care.
Encourage active involvement of both women and men in promoting the health of mothers and children.
Ensure all pregnant mothers attend ANC and delivers in hospital.
Track immunization defaulter and increase the overall immunization
Achievement of the Project
Behavioral Change: Positive changes in health-related behaviors were observed, including improved prenatal and postnatal care practices and better adherence to immunization schedules.
Empowered Women: Women reported feeling more empowered and confident in making informed decisions regarding their health (before, during and after pregnancy) and the health of their children.
Increased Awareness Participants gained a deeper understanding of maternal and child health related issues.
